CEBC works extensively with municipalities, regional districts and the provincial government on many issues including Civil Liability; TILMA; and procurement. CEBC members are encouraged to participate directly in these lobbying efforts.
CEBC is recognized by government as the voice of BC’s engineering companies. CEBC advocates for progressive policy changes on your behalf.

Professional Development
CEBC organizes seminars to keep you up to date on business-
related issues, including a highly popular series of breakfast
seminars developed by our Young Professionals Group. Keep up
to date on industry issues and events through CEBC Newsbrief, the monthly newsletter, and other membership communications.

Networking Events
Network with colleagues, clients, policy makers and industry partners through a variety of events and committees. CEBC
works directly with related organizations like ACEC (the national organization); the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC; AIBC and many others. CEBC offers many opportunities to network directly with colleagues in the industry, clients, government and related organizations.

Recognition/Marketing
CEBC member firms are noted for their experience, professionalism and expertise within the numerous sectors they represent. And although these accolades are particularly important to them, recognition for their engineering excellence by their peers ranks paramount.

Business Practices and Issues Management

Awards
The Awards for Engineering Excellence are as highly regarded by the public as they are by CEBC members. They provide CEBC members an opportunity to showcase their projects and their company to colleagues, peers and competitors. The Awards also provide the chance to make their own staff aware of their achievements. And they add prestige to the firm’s future marketing materials.

Human Resources
The CEBC Young Professionals Group provides employees in the first 10 years of their careers a great opportunity for networking and professional development. The group also promotes the industry through job fairs and liaison with universities and colleges. In addition, CEBC provides an online job posting service.
Establish and maintain links with engineering students and

Affinity Programs
The CEBC membership includes various professional groups involved in the consulting engineering industry. Because of this, the affinity program benefits made available to professional engineers through the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC are not available to the bulk of the CEBC membership. This creates a unique opportunity for firms interested in providing affinity programs to the CEBC members.
