Building Energy Specialist

Role:

We seek a Building Energy Specialist to join our cross-disciplinary green building team. This team is responsible for delivering innovative solutions to our clients for new development and building renewal projects.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the client to define project targets and success factors for their building renewal projects
• Provide technical expertise and design review on mechanical, electrical, and building systems
• Generate client proposals, reports and engineering specifications
• Become an active and valued member of integrated design teams
• Participate in practice development and our knowledge management system
• Contribute to the integration, coaching and development of employees

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Systems Engineering.
• A Master's degree and P.Eng certification would be an asset
• 5 years’ experience in building control systems, mechanical design, electrical design or the renewal of existing buildings systems
• Practical experience in HVAC and building automation systems design combined with in-depth knowledge of green building design principles and technologies
• General exposure to technical analysis including building energy modeling would be an asset
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment
• Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
